I'm keeping it fairly simple because it is the first time I have attempted a quilt larger than a baby quilt. It won't even fit on my table (which is going to make basting interesting but I'll worry about that when I get there).
I'm using two charm packs (one from a local shop and the one I bought in Bath) and some grey fabric I already had to make a chevron quilt (the inspiration for which can be found here). The charm packs are 2wenty thr3e and Comma.
I have been through both charm packs and pulled out ten squares in 6 colour themes (including two white/low volume rows for each end).
I am excited to be working on a BIG project!
What's everyone else up to?

oh I really like this already and I've only seen one strip! I'll have to keep an eye on it.
ReplyDeleteNever fear the big quilt - it's just lots of baby quilts put together - lol. I love the chevron pattern, looking forward to seeing your progress next week.
ReplyDeleteLove your progress sew far! Those fabrics are looking fabulous together! And I agree with Serena... Don't fear the big quilt! I am working on a 100" x 100" project right now and I only have 6.5" to the right of needle on my little Janome. Take it one step at a time. You can do this!
